Alpaca Quilt

Hermitage sources Australian alpaca fleece from local Australian suppliers. As alpaca fibres are partially hollow, they are lighter, softer, and warmer than many other natural fibres. The fibres in alpaca fleece have greater thermal qualities, which means you do not need to have as much fleece to create exceptional warmth.  Our jacquard quilt cover is made of the 100% long staple cotton. Over 50% of quilt-making process is done by hand. Machines are simply not as good as people when it comes to ensuring an even cover within a quilt.
